Useful performer who was highly-tried last season (ran all four races in Listed company). Now back in a handicap for the first time since the end of 2016 (off 1lb higher mark); on a decent mark if she's ready to roll.

Unexposed sort who has yet to run in a handicap having only run once each year so far in her career. Her win came over 1m2f on soft ground so conditions will be very different here; shaped well enough last time when yard were still getting going.

C&D winner who improved on that occasion and had excuses for two subsequent defeats. Doesn't look too badly handicapped for her seasonal return and should be able to take a hand here back at a course she's run well at before.

Forecasts

Alwaysandforever (1/1), Di Alta (2/1), Colonial Classic (3/1)

Verdict

With just the three going to post here there is potential for the only one to have run this year ALWAYSANDFOREVER to grab a soft lead and put her race fitness to good use. She looked a little below form on her reappearance but that run may well have brought her on. Colonial Classic was highly tried last year and will appreciate the return to handicaps although her yard are without a winner in the past fortnight (0/18). Di Alta returns to the scene of her last win but she too has to concede race fitness and could well be better after this run.
