A mare who has been a winning machine for her Malton handler, both on the Flat and over hurdles. Tailed off at Ascot in December and again this month at Hexham (2m, good) either side of a break, needs a big bounce back.

Looked to have learnt plenty from hurdling debut when improving last time to take a Huntingdon novice over 2m. Likely to progress further but; could well stay further than this trip.

Gone close in conditional/amateur riders' event at Sandown and Kempton in the spring. Upped to 2m4½f last time at Plumpton and confirmed the suspicion the handicapper has him about right for now.

Landed a three-runner novice race at Market Rasen in June last year when the favourite went off too fast. Trip should be fine but may need this on seasonal bow and has to improve in any case.

Tamarillo Grovet31
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-6| J: James Best| T: Mrs S Leech| OR:  97| D
15/2
Newton Abbot winner (2m1f, good) in August off a mark of 98, been poor in four starts since however. Caught the eye on reappearance last month at Southwell of that same handicap mark.

Forecasts

No Hiding Place (6/4), Starcrossed (6/4), Tamarillo Grove (15/2), Rasasee (9/1), Our Kylie (12/1)

Verdict

Our Kylie has rather lost her way lately having proved an exceptional servant to connections, she must bounce back to be in the mix. Starcrossed shaped nicely at Huntingdon for the Skelton's and should give this a good sight in the follow-up attempt but perhaps TAMARILLO GROVE can get back on track. He scored at Newton Abbot last summer from a higher mark and shaped with some purpose on his comeback at Southwell before tiring.
  1. Tamarillo Grove
  2. Starcrossed
  3. Our Kylie
