Followed a 5f Group 2 success at Royal Ascot with a Group 1 win at the Curragh in August over this trip. Not at his best on reappearance at Navan, but well thought of at Ballydoyle and gets Ryan Moore's vote. Should improve.
Scat Daddy colt won his maiden here a year ago over 5f on good to firm, twice come up short in Listed contests over 5f/6f since, showing signs of temperament at times, plenty improvement needed on seasonal bow.
Produced a clear career-best when runner-up to U S Navy Flag in Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket on final two-year-old start. 5L behind The Broghie Man in Listed Navan contest over this trip in reappearance last month. Should step up considerably.
Excelebration colt, Listed scorer at Doncaster (6f, good) on final two-year-old start, narrowly edged out by The Broghie Man in Listed Navan race last month on reappearance despite running on late with Fleet Review and Sioux Nation behind him.
Cityscape gelding produced clear career-best when holding off three of these to take 5f Listed Navan race on seasonal bow last month. Was all out to cling on, may have caught some useful rivals at a good time and could struggle to confirm that form.
Holy Roman Emperor colt, was a Listed winner here over 5f last season, though has since come up shy in Group 2/3 company on three occasions. Returns from winter break and ought to find a few of these too strong.
Several excellent efforts in Group company last year, opened account in 5f AW maiden at Dundalk in March. Credible run here over 5½f when close third of 15 in Listed contest since. Handles forecast ground and no discounted.
Forecasts
Sioux Nation (15/8), Fleet Review (5/2), Speak In Colours (7/2), Now You're Talking (8/1), The Broghie Man (8/1), True Blue Moon (20/1), Dali (33/1)
SIOUX NATION never got a blow in last month on his reappearance at Navan, he was out the back and didn't really get asked a hard question once the winner had flown. There should be a chunk of improvement from the Royal Ascot winner today and he can book his ticket back to next month's showpiece meeting with a win. The Broghie Man won that Navan contest but may struggle to confirm the form against the likes of close runner-up Speak In Colours and third home Fleet Review. Receiving weight all round, the filly Now You're Talking is no backmarker.
- Sioux Nation
- Speak In Colours
- The Broghie Man
