Fair sixth in a Grade 1 at Aintree on his penultimate outing prior to finishing 11L fifth in a Listed hurdle in France last time. One to note on his return to fences.
Well beaten on sole completion (from two starts) since returning from a break. Won off a 2lb higher mark at Leicester (soft) in February last year.
Victorious four times over fences and ended a run of three non-completions when a well beaten eighth at Perth last month. Well handicapped on his old form.
Finished third on his last three outings including over an extended 3m1f at Cheltenham (good) last month. Races off the same mark here and likely to run well once more.
Finished fourth over 2m3f at Doncaster (good) in December but pulled up on two of his three starts since. Races off a mark 10lb lower than for his most recent victory.
Made a winning debut over fences when successful at Worcester (2m7f, good) in October. Disappointed on handicap debut in this sphere subsequently and returns from a break having had a wind operation in the interim.
Finished runner-up twice over fences in December 2016 but had just three starts since. Beaten 23L at Bangor (3m, soft) in December and has had wind surgery since.
Dual winner over 3m on good ground in April last year. Held in two subsequent outings including at Wetherby (3m, soft) in March.
Victorious over 3m at Ludlow (good-to-soft) in February but beaten 24L into third in similar conditions there subsequently. Remains of interest racing off a mark 2lb higher than for that Ludlow victory.
Wore blinkers for the first time when winning over 2m7f at Worcester (good) last July. Disappointing since including when pulled at Ffos Las last time. Has won in a visor in the past.
