Distance winner over hurdles at Perth four years ago. Seem to be carrying plenty enough weight in first-time blinkers.
Solid and consistent in her last three appearances including a win in a Cork hunter chase last month before bombing in a Limerick handicap hurdle and will appreciate the return to the larger obstacles.
Distance winner but has been unable to halt alarming slide in form in three starts since St Stephens day. Will need to improve to figure.
Point-to-point winner who has been running well since joining this yard without being able to get her head in front beaten favourite on a couple of occasions. Others hold stronger profiles.
Distance winner in a Down Royal handicap chase back in January 2017 but subsequently disappointed since. Place claims in first-time hood.
C&D winner who was beaten favourite last time out here in a 2m6f handicap chase finishing eighth of 14 beaten 37L earlier this month. Better than that performance and deserves another chance.
Very busy mare during March and April without getting her head in front in a series of point-to-point/hunter chase/cross country contests. Looks a tall order on form shown.
Distance winner but looks to be regressing of late well beaten in two handicap chases in January. Worth a market check but hard to fancy.
Well beaten and out of sorts recently including in two hurdle starts since the turn of the year and first-time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required improvement to figure here.
Has failed to threaten in his last five starts and still looks in the grip of the handicapper despite him 6lb lower than initial assessment.
Unreliable sort without a win in 13 starts over the larger obstacles, first-time hood dispensed with following a 15L defeat at Killarney earlier in the month and looks up against it here.
Looked to miss the kick for home eventually finishing fourth of 10 beaten 9L when attempting to follow up on a win here in March. Still 4lb higher than last win but is superior to the majority of this field.
Has disappointed connections in a number of dispiriting displays in five handicap chases since December. Very little to be positive about in this tricky contest.
Forecasts
Tiger Sam (4/1), Redclue (7/1), Shanklys Dawn (7/1), Rare Legend (7/1), Bold Sky (8/1), Model Cloud (8/1), Senators Glory (10/1), Honest Robber (12/1), Quickasyoucan (12/1), Dorkas (14/1), He Knows My Name (14/1), Double Windsor (16/1), Glacial Shadow (20/1)
SHANKLYS DAWN can put the disappointment of a Tramore defeat last month over 2m5f on heavy ground by following up on his win here in March to land the spoils in this contest. There will be no excuse for anything other than a big run from Redclue given his form here, on the ground and in this size of field and can hit the frame along with the Gordon Elliott-trained Bold Sky.
- Shanklys Dawn
- Redclue
- Bold Sky
