Yet to score in six attempts over fences and was beaten a long way when sixth of seven in minor event at Clonmel over this 3m trip in September. Needs to find more back from the break.

3m winner over hurdles, yet to score in a dozen attempts over fences. Well beaten over this trip at Clonmel in September and again over shorter at Leopardstown in December. Bit to find on form.

Pair of wins to show from 19 starts over fences, most recent coming over 2m6½f (yielding to soft) at Fairyhouse more than two years ago. Run intermittently since, handicap mark is sliding towards previous winning mark and cheekpieces are tried now.

Lightly-raced for his age, multiple point-to-point winner, ran fine race (second) at Fairyhouse in early April on testing ground over similar trip. In decent order at Roscommon last week, could have claims.

Has a decent enough record at the track (a win and a second, both over hurdles) to be given a second look but this trip looks far enough and his chase form leaves him with a bit to find (fell very early on here last month).

Successful of a 4lb lower mark in a handicap chase at Tramore (2m5f, yielding) 13 months ago. Unseen since running out over hurdles at Clonmel (good) last September.

Improved showing when 1¼L second to Arctic Pearl in 2m5½f (yielding) beginners' chase at Leopardstown in March. Goes handicapping for the first time now up in trip and merits a decent look.

No win since 2014 and only made it to the racecourse a dozen times in that spell. Beaten 43L here last month in Cross Country race behind Josies Orders at the festival. Big ask again.

Won twice over fences in 2016 and showed he retains plenty ability on debut for Noel Meade after 614 days off at Kilbeggan (2m4f, yielding to soft) recently when finishing third (later disqualified). Player if coming on for that run 16 days later.

Wound the clock back when making most of the running and coming clear to win over 3m1f at Wexford 11 days ago. Up 6lb and the 12-year-old is no certainty to turn up in the same mood now.

Still going with plenty enthusiasm in the Cross Country here at the festival last month when coming a cropper at Ruby's Double. 1-29 under rules and, at 13, just about opposable again.

Forecasts

Glenwood For Ever (4/1), Na Trachtalai Abu (11/2), Fergiethelegend (6/1), El Vasco (6/1), Artic Pearl (7/1), Enniskillen (8/1), Burndown (10/1), Anseanachai Cliste (12/1), Stonehall Jack (20/1), On The Shannon (20/1), Tom Horn (33/1)

Verdict

Glenwood For Ever posted a promising effort on debut for Noel Meade recently (despite being disqualified) and will be a threat if building on that. That was off the back a long layoff and, just 16 days later, the dreaded bounce factor is a concern. Equally, Wexford winner Fergiethelegend is no sure thing to reproduce that effort this evening. Artic Pearl has a decent record here (despite fall very early on last time) and should challenge if none the worse but he might struggle to confirm earlier placings with EL VASCO from a beginners' chase at Leopardstown. The selection goes up in trip now sent handicapping and should have more to give on just his fifth chase.
  1. El Vasco
  2. Artic Pearl
  3. Glenwood For Ever
