3lb higher than last win which came at Uttoxeter in September, but goes on just about any ground and usually runs her race. Won't be easy though off current mark.

Not A Role Model22

Pleasing first effort over fences when runner-up at Stratford last month returning from winter break. Should be fitter now and good conditinal rides claiming 5lb. Set to be there or thereabouts.

Won handicap chases at Musselburgh and Market Rasen in January and February of 2017 but has found life tough since off increased mark. Gradually coming back down the weights and now just 2lb higher than last win but hasn't been in great form.

Beallandendall17
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: Nick Scholfield| T: D Faulkner| OR:  105

Has been in good form since the autumn, thriving at Chepstow where he has won twice and been second twice in his last four starts. Raised a further 1lb since failing narrowly there a few weeks ago but remains competitive.

Found the minimum trip against home on chasing bow in heavy ground at Wincanton last month but didn't run badly. Expected better conditions should suit as should the extra half mile.

Failed to stay over nearly three miles last time and drop back in trip is no surprise. Still a maiden and form is quite patchy but has some ability. Any market move would be interesting for Chester Cup-winning yard.

Just 1-17 so far his win coming over 2m2f at Fontwell last summer. Returns from eight months off . Beaten favoruite four times in last nine starts so looks one to be wary off.

Been campaigned over further for a year or more and ran out of puff after the last when caught at Huntingdon recently. Has fallen to a viable mark and back at this trip is worth a second glance.

Won this race 12 months ago off 4lb lower mark and now very much into the veteran stage. Will be better for outing in heavy ground at Plumpton last month and on this good surface has to be respected despite the advancing years.

Last win came off 17lb higher mark but that was more than three years ago and has shown precious little form of late, including when pulling up last time at Ludlow in November. Hard to get too excited about his chance.

Flashmanb24
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-1| J: R T Dunne| T: G & J Moore| OR:  94

Has run over further but has never won beyond 2m1f so this trip has to be considered a negative. Beaten a long way on both starts in April and looks to have plenty on his plate in current form.

Forecasts

Not A Role Model (5/1), Samson (5/1), Like Sully (6/1), Glengra (13/2), Beallandendall (7/1), Barton Rose (7/1), Iona Days (9/1), Flashman (14/1), Alanjou (20/1), Fields of Glory (20/1), Code Of Law (25/1)

Verdict

There are question marks hanging over quite a few of these and the safest bet might well be last year's winner, the 13-year-old IONA DAYS, who could well have been trained with a repeat bid in mind. Not A Role Model remains unexposed over fences and rates a danger, while Beallandendall also has a chance on recent evidence. Samson and Barton Rose are others to consider along with the frustrating Code Of Law.
