Former Triumph Hurdle fifth has clearly had his problems since. In the right hands to rekindle his enthusiasm and blinkered for stable debut. The market should reflect expectations.
Had a stiff task from out of the handicap last time but less highly tried here. Typically progressive type the yard handle well and champion jockey is 19-74 for them for a level stake profit of 38 points.
Completed a novice hurdle hat-trick when winning at Stratford in July. His Flat form suggests there should be more to come from this sort of mark, but he has previously needed a run following a break.
Three of his four wins have come here including this race last year off 6lb lower. Good effort here last time despite softer ground than ideal. Hard to overlook.
Without a win since October 2014 and additional headgear applied. Latest runs inspire little confidence his drought is ready to end.
Scored on the Flat in March 2017 but has gone downhill since and showed some temperament last time. The way he dropped himself out on his penultimate start makes him one to be wary of.
Hard to assess on an effortless victory over a poor bunch last time. However a Kempton third to Amour De Nuit puts her on a good mark and makes her the one to beat.
Victorious over hurdles at Newton Abbot (good) last September and placed in this sphere since including here three weeks ago. This looks easier than recent tests but he is held by Cockney Wren.
Forecasts
Flashing Glance (11/4), Leoncavallo (3/1), Bertimont (4/1), Peruvien Bleu (11/2), Cockney Wren (9/1), Saxo Jack (10/1), Champagne City (12/1), Instant Karma (33/1)
COCKNEY WREN is suited to these conditions and she may be on the right side of the handicapper judged on her Kempton third to horses rated in the mid 130s. Peruvien Bleu is 3-4 over C&D and these conditions are more suitable than on his last visit. Flashing Glance represents a highly profitable trainer/jockey combination and is back in a more competitive grade.
