Good winner of an Irish point-to-point in March and connections parted with £43,000 to acquire. Small yard not known for bumper winners (0-6) but cannot be ruled out.
Half-brother to three NH winners, has shaped with promise in two of three runs, latest in Lingfield Jumper's Bumper in March. Could have claims.

Mahler gelding is a brother to useful hurdler Ornua, makes debut in this and likely holding minor aspirations.
Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/fair chaser Bonne Fee, makes debut in this and shouldn't want for stamina on breeding.

4/1
Gelding by Yeats, interesting newcomer representing Team Skelton, whose string are in superb form lately (10-35). Worth considering.
6
Horse silk
50/1
Great Palm gelding picked up as a four-year-old for small money, trainer 2-71 in this sphere so far and looks unlikely to improve that strike rate.
Shirocco gelding, cost £22,000 and has appeal on paper. Represents Seven Barrows on debut and needs monitoring in betting as such.
Beaten favourite behind Acey Milan on debut at Wincanton and no further impression on that rival in Listed Cheltenham event on New Year's Day. Off since and should be better in time for top bumper yard.

33/1
Made favourite on debut over C&D but disappointed badly, and was well beaten. Yard have had a tough year and he may be best watched now unless money comes again.

Won his only point-to-point and finished 1L second over C&D on bumper debut in March. Likely improver now and will have sound claims of going one better if doing so.

7/2
Montmartre gelding, connections paid €44,000 for him as a three-year-old and joined a trainer that knows the time of day in this sphere (7-15 in bumpers here last five years). Worth paying attention to in the betting.

66/1
Well beaten on debut at Huntingdon in November and didn't improve on that over this C&D in March, hard to fancy now as a result.
Gold Well mare, will need to be above average to take care of some potentially smart rivals on her racecourse bow.

Forecasts

The Wolf (3/1), Nobby (7/2), Tel'art (7/2), Just Rocky (4/1), Commander Miller (4/1), Kingofthecotswolds (9/1), Balli Martine (10/1), Gallows Point (12/1), Aclassagold (16/1), Melchior King (33/1), Bignorm (33/1), Peanutsponypetite (50/1), Simon The Great (50/1), Suzie Staples (50/1), Blazing Gold (66/1)

Verdict

Of those that have run NOBBY sets the standard on his C&D second, he should improve for that experience and is therefore give the nod to go one better. He's by no means assured and faces all manner of dangers amongst the newcomers. Ben Pauling has a fine record in bumpers here and his Tel'art should do well while Richard Johnson's presence on The Wolf attracts the attention. Just Rocky for the in-form Skelton yard and Commander Miller are other lurking dangers and the betting is sure to prove informative.
