Made a winning debut in a good ground bumper at Worcester last July. Form of that nothing to write home out and worth a check in the market on hurdling debut.

11/8
Finished runner-up in an Irish point-to-point on soft-to-heavy ground back in November. Represents a yard in good form (8/29) and is one to note in a first time hood on rules debut.
Finished 2L second to a very useful rival in a bumper at Wetherby (good-to-soft) when making his debut over a year ago. One to note now switched to hurdles.

16/1
Dual winner on the Flat but beaten 29L in a soft ground novice hurdle at Towcester last time and likely to find at least one too good in this.
Struggled in two starts since switched to hurdles and likely to be of more interest once eligible for handicap contests.
6
Horse silk
40/1
Placed in a point-to-point and a bumper for previous yard but well held in two outings over hurdles since joining this stable and others have a more obvious chance on this occasion.

11/2
Soundly beaten in two starts since making a promising debut at Ascot (good-to-soft) in November. More needed if he's to break his maiden in this.

Forecasts

Clondaw Anchor (11/8), Minella Warrior (2/1), Turangi (11/2), Blue N Yellow (10/1), Primogeniture (16/1), Sammylou (18/1), Sehayli (25/1), Scottshill (40/1)

Verdict

CLONDAW ANCHOR showed plenty of ability when placed in a point-to-point and he is taken to get his rules career off to the best possible start in this novice hurdle. Blue N Yellow, the winner of a bumper on his sole start so far can claim second ahead of the returning Minella Warrior who can take third on hurdling debut.
  1. Clondaw Anchor

  3. Minella Warrior
