Capable of taking this field apart in his prime and he has been sent to Mick Appleby to revive his fortunes. Remains a few pounds below his best on recent form and needing a few to underperform.

Well beaten on both starts for this yard and got loose before being withdrawn for another. One to be wary of at present.

Two years since his last win and facing a difficult task on stable debut judged by official ratings.

Last win came off a mark of 72 and now officially rated 50. Poor last time and facing most of these on worse terms than if this had been a handicap.

Placed off a mark of 82 last season but he has regressed since. Last couple of efforts would suggest he is no banker to make the most of favourable terms.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-6| J: D Nolan| T: R M Whitaker| OR:  51

Has attracted support but has failed to deliver on previous promise and an official rating of 48 means he has a tough task at the weights.

Raced at a much higher level for Mark Johnston last term and both starts for this yard have been over much further. Back to his winning distance and has the ability to deliver despite a six month break. Cheekpieces fitted.

0-18 record and short of his best this year. Drops in grade and trip, but facing a hard task at the weights.

Modest performer whose bet form has come at Newcastle. Would be getting plenty of weight in a handicap and there are more appealing options.

Much improved last time on stable debut in a stronger race than this and after encountering trouble. Rated just below a few regressive types on official ratings so she could go close if building on the promise of that run.

Roman Timesp9
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-1| J: Callum Rodriguez(3)| T: A Berry| OR:  38| D

The most lowly rated of these on official figures and hard to build a compelling case despite the booking of a top apprentice.

(4)
Horse silk
200/1
Has only beaten one rival in his two starts and he is hard to fancy with his yard having gone seven months without a winner.

Last of five and tenth of eleven her record to date in two slowly run races. Will get a handicap mark after this and it is likely to be a low one.

Verdict

A difficult race with the likes of Juan Horsepower, Rantan and Rozy Boys favoured by the race conditions but with neither being the type to place your trust in at present. Tony Coyle has a strong hand with TOWN CHARTER and Shesthedream. The latter has the benefit of a recent run which was much improved on her form in the latter part of 2017. The selection was running in class 2/3 races last year and was rated well above his current mark. Jockey bookings suggest he is the stronger of the yard's pair, although the market may provide more up to date expectations should there be any change in the going.
  1. Town Charter
  2. Shesthedream
  3. Rozy Boys
