Has been a touch frustrating in his three starts so far but has some ability and won't be too far away after an improved effort in the tongue tie last time.

Home bred Beat Hollow gelding from a family that has produced plenty of NH winners. Classic-winning yard had a winner recently so a market check on this newcomer is advised.
3

66/1
Medicean gelding out of a mare placed in listed company on the Flat. Showed next to nothing in two starts in March and has subsequently undergone a wind operation. Jockey booking is interesting.

€45,000 Robin Des Champs gelding. Dam won the Irish Cesarewitch so is likely to want further in time. Represents top team so should command plenty of respect on his racecourse bow.

Tamayuz gelding hinted at ability when fifth on debut in AW bumper at Newcastle last month. Hard to know how much that form is worth but is one to improvement and is not without a chance.

€50,000 gelded son of star French NH sire Robin Des Champs. Makes his debut for successful yard with good jockey booked. Worth keeping a close eye on him for market support.

£70,000 son of Gold Well, is related to a number of winners over hurdles/fences. Top yard continues in very good form so has plenty going for him on his racecourse debut.
Gelded son of Gold Well cost connections €36,000 as a three-year-old. Dan unraced is a half-sister to the useful Alderwood. Yard still among the winner so interesting to see how he fares on his first racecourse appearance.

Wears a tongue-tie for his debut, this €20,000 son of Rip Van Winkle is interesting as his dam is a half-sister to Group 1 winning sprinter Amadeus Wolf. If he stays he could be a danger to all.
Cost just €600 as a foal but has a fair pedigree being by Trans Island out of a winning mare who has already produced four winners. Yard not known for having them ready first time so likely to improve for the experience.

Forecasts

Encore Champs (1/1), Potters Tale (7/2), Peachey (5/1), Tokay Dokey (11/2), Welland (16/1), Who's The Guv'nor (25/1), Sid Hoodie (33/1), Muftakker (66/1), Elviz (66/1), Vanilla Breeze (100/1)

Verdict

Quite a few interesting newcomers in this bumper and the betting markets are likely to offer some guidance. Both TOKAY DOKEY and Encore Champs cost good money and may be up to winning races. They respresent top yards and there shouldn't be much between them. The filly Sid Hoodie has an interesting pedigree, and Peachey is another who may have ability, while Potters Tale has the best form of those with experience.
  1. Tokay Dokey
  2. Encore Champs
  3. Peachey
