YCO Apprentice Handicap

Useful front runner with a nice draw here and while not seen for all of 2017, he shaped well on return at Epsom last month. Interesting runner.

Latest win came at Haydock in September and working his way back down to a more workable mark after some moderate efforts. May have wanted some rain to arrive to be seen at his best though.

Rattled off a four-timer in 2016 that included a course win but has only won once since and can occasionally miss the break as seen at Newcastle last time. Won't want to do that here and looks high enough in the handicap.

Over a year since his last win but dangerous when gifted an easy lead. Little chance of that here though and recent efforts have been below form. Opposable given he's finished unplaced on three starts here.

Has had just five starts, a beaten five on final two starts of 2017. Shaped with plenty of promise on return but has been dealt a blow with the widest draw here.

Three wins from 21 starts, most recently when an impressive winner at Southwell in January. Equally as effective on turf it would seem and not out of this after some recent promising efforts.

Only just touched off over C&D when last seen in September and left on the same mark by the handicapper. Draw has been unkind but useful apprentice takes off 3lb and not dismissed.

Not won since his reappearance run last year but finds himself on a very nice mark on return to action. Propensity to start slowly a concern, particularly at this track where it's cost him races before but does have a course win to his name.

Barely beat a rival home on last two hurdle starts and similar story since he's been returned to the Flat. Not won since 2016 and readily passed over.

A winner at Brighton when last seen on the Flat in 2017 and has been running well over hurdles for this yard since. May struggle from out of the handicap though.
