Solid effort on reappearance at Epsom when third over 1m2f recently, tackles this longer trip for the first time and could be a player if handling.
A 420,000 gns son of Galileo with an excellent pedigree, he made a winning start at Gowran Park (7f, heavy) in September on first start. Trainer with excellent record in this race, saddles three today.
Group 3 winner at Leopardstown last season over 1m1f, Galileo colt has room for plenty more progress this term and is fit from close up third at Paris-Longchamp last month. One of three for Ballydoyle.
Staying-on third in Classic Trial at Sandown last month (1m2f, good to soft), that was essentially another improved effort from the Naas maiden winner. Ryan Moore stays faithful as one of three for trainer here.
Agonisingly denied in Classic Trial at Sandown last month (1m2f, good to soft) with Hunting Horn behind. That was another step forward and yard in super form (9-29). Big player.
Entered in both the Dante and Derby and made significant improvement when winning on his second start in good style following a wind operation. By Galileo so plenty more to come at this distance.
The Carbon Unit colt, full-brother to two useful middle distance winners and half-brother to two milers. Well beaten behind some of these on debut at Epsom last month, hard to make case for turnaround.
Unbeaten in two starts over 1m4f on Lingfield's AW course so far, asked a much sterner question now switched to turf.
Declaration Of War colt, improving with each start and ran out very easy winner at Haydock (1m4f, soft) last time. Up in grade here but not one to dismiss easily.
€215,000 German-bred yearling by Intello, decisive winner of 1m3f Newbury maiden last month on second start / seasonal bow. Should make progress.
Forecasts
Hunting Horn (3/1), Young Rascal (10/3), Ispolini (10/3), Flag Of Honour (7/1), Proschema (10/1), Dee Ex Bee (12/1), Family Tree (20/1), Perfect Illusion (25/1), Jetstream (33/1), Miles Christianus (200/1)
Aidan O'Brien has bossed this race recently and has three contenders in his attempt to win for the sixth year running. Hunting Horn looks best placed of them on jockey bookings and should have more to come upped in trip, though Flag Of Honour also looked well-equipped. Ispolini was in front of Hunting Horn at Sandown last time and is a big danger for his in-form yard while Young Rascal can also go well but PROSCHEMA was impressive at Haydock last time, continues to improve and may be ready for this step up in class.
- Proschema
- Ispolini
- Hunting Horn
