Not seen for over two years before reappearing in a Leopardstown bumper over 2m4f in December last year. Very little to be positive about.
Beneficial gelding out of a Presenting mare winner of a point-to-point last time out over 3m on yielding ground last month. May find this a tougher assignment.
Definite Article out of a Sabrehill mare sire was a high-class two-year-old. Unraced seven-year-old makes a belated racecourse appearance here.
Gelding by Zambezi Sun cost connections £68,000 at the 2016 sales. Half-brother to winning Flat performer Bubble Sea. Well beaten on both career starts to date including a heavy defeat in March.
Another runner from the yard that houses Books Closed and one that is possibly best watched on belated racecourse debut.
Shaped as if a drop in trip would suit when weakening into fourth in a point-to-point at Dromahane in March before a 25L defeat in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle in December. Would not have to improve much to land a blow here.
Finished mid-division when making his racecourse debut in a Killarney good ground bumper back in May before a 36L defeat at Punchestown in November.
Pulled up on debut in a Wexford bumper in March before a promising second of eight in an improved performance at Limerick last month. Likely to be a warm order here.
Shaped with some promise in a couple of point-to-point contests but disappointed on his only rules start in June last year in a Kilbeggan bumper on soft ground.
Forecasts
Small Farm (6/5), Momus (3/1), Another Cyclone (11/2), Bishops Quarter (7/1), Desir Du Large (12/1), Steelambition (20/1), Singirishmansing (50/1), Lukewarm (50/1), Books Closed (66/1)
SMALL FARM wouldn't have to improve massively to land a blow here in a modest renewal of this contest. The Willie Mullins-trained Westerner gelding should be able to build on an improved run last time out at Limerick. The two Gigginstown House Stud representatives Desir Du Large and the Noel Meade-trained Momus need to improve but should be good enough to hit the frame here.
- Small Farm
- Desir Du Large
