Won his first three starts over hurdles but struggled off this sort of mark in handicaps after. Sole Irish point-to-point run was a winning one when beating Barney Dwan and likely to improve for fences.

Dual winning point-to-pointer who reportedly disliked soft ground on his debut under rules. Hasn't been seen for nearly a year after a disappointing run at Haydock. Conditions should be ideal for this first start over fences for top yard.

Not won since landing a maiden hurdle but running okay of late without threatening the judge. Point-to-point winner and fences may bring about some improvement.

Hasn't won since 2015 but tends to run his race. Better handicapped over fences and not easy to discount with interesting jockey booking.

Bach De Clermont139
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-10| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR:  120
3/1
Point-to-point winner who likes to lead. Running well of late and whilst he could dictate matters today, there is a slight doubt that this trip just stretches his stamina.

Forecasts

Monbeg Legend (9/4), Bach De Clermont (3/1), San Satiro (7/2), Sumkindofking (5/1), Solatentif (5/1)

Verdict

Sam Twiston-Davies is now a freelance jockey and it’s interesting he’s on Solatentif here. San Satiro has been off the track for nearly a year but looks sure to have a future in this sphere and could still be well handicapped. Slight preference today though is for MONBEG LEGEND who did well over hurdles for his top yard but has always looked a chaser in the making.
  1. Monbeg Legend
  2. San Satiro
  3. Solatentif
