Successful on his final two starts for Charlie Mann most recently over an extended 3m3f at Stratford (good) in August 2016. Pulled up in a hunter chase at Taunton in January last year on debut for this yard and only subsequent outing.

Landed a handicap hurdle at Ludlow in October, but five subsequent efforts in chases have been below-par. Hard to fancy despite reduced handicap mark.

Recent form figures of PFP do not look overly inspiring. Hardly went a yard at Chepstow last time and despite dropping in weights it's hard to fancy him in current mood. Visor goes on first time.

Useful on his day but hasn't won for a long time now. Handicapper is dropping him quickly though and whilst he may be regressing he is now 17lb below his last winning mark. Top rider up today and market check needed.

Dual purpose performer who has been a little under par since the turn of the year. Best efforts tend to come on rain softened ground so this may be far from ideal.

Showed improved form last year but has been off the track now for 10 months. On a career high mark for return to action and needs switch of yard to have perked him up to be competitive.

Hasn't won for nine starts now dating back to October 2016. Lifeless effort at Kempton (2m4½f, soft) latest. Has now dropped 8lb below his last winning mark and has run well here several times in the past so a better showing possible.

Won off 3lb lower at Market Rasen two starts back but struggled off this mark at Warwick next time. Can be hard work at times and will need to be on a going day.

Both career victories came here way back in 2014. Not much to shout about of late but is dropping very quickly in the weights. Slightly better after a wind operation at Southwell last time and every chance of a better showing today.

Likeable mare that won back-to-back races at the turn of the year, both very comfortably. Raised a total of 16lb for both those wins and given a three month break. Needs a career best now but hard to discount if returning in same mood.

Really consistent performer who ran another cracker behind the bang in-form Ratify at Huntingdon two weeks ago. Very likely to go well again but may find one or two too good.

Forecasts

Gorsky Island (9/2), Pembroke House (11/2), By The Boardwalk (11/2), Tb Broke Her (6/1), Amber Gambler (6/1), Still Believing (7/1), Shanty Town (9/1), Astracad (9/1), Royale Django (14/1), Harry Hunt (14/1), Victor Leudorum (33/1), Bertie Lugg (40/1)

Verdict

Any money for Astracad should be noted as he is lurking on a very dangerous mark. Tb Broker Her was in great form before her short break and could well continue her progress. Pembroke House is as consistent as they come but may well find one or two too good once again. A chance is going to be taken that GORSKY ISLAND can make a winning return to this track. Both his career victories came here, this is his second run after wind surgery and he is also on a dangerous mark.
  1. Gorsky Island
  2. Pembroke House
  3. Tb Broke Her
