Has plenty of hurdles experience (11 attempts), and twice a runner up on decent ground over the minimum trip at Perth. Beaten just 1L by 50/1 winner Sir Tommy in early September, but off the track since late October 2017.
Made the frame over C&D in March (soft), beaten just over 7L by Snougar, but has twice run poorly in slightly better races since. Hard to enthuse/swoon over.
Solid AW performer on the Flat for Mark Johnston (sold for 22,000 gns in November). Not got to grips with hurdling as of yet, but possibly one for further down the line in handicap company.
Beaten about 30L (sixth) on his second start over hurdles (C&D) in December. However, that was in a more competitive heat than this event, so has scope for improvement in the first time tongue tie and on quicker ground.
Unseated his rider at the first on hurdles debut at Market Rasen in March, and generally very poor in bumpers prior to that initial aborted timber effort. Wears a first time hood, but surely holds little chance.
Well backed, and looked the part when comfortably disposing of Haasab in a Catterick bumper in December (2m good to soft). His debut form reads well, and he embarks on his hurdling career in a very winnable looking contest.
Off the track since December 2016 (Musselburgh), so fitness is taken on trust. However, clearly handles good ground, and out ran market expectations in finishing a ½L second to Pot Committed. Place possibilities.
Kept on without threatening the winner (Mister Chow) on hurdles debut at Warwick in January; 2m heavy, and evidently out of his depth in the Victor Ludorum at Haydock on his next outing. Eased in grade on quicker ground today.

Forecasts
Return Ticket (11/10), Swaffham Bulbeck (9/4), Beach Break (6/1), An Fear Ciuin (8/1), Prince Dundee (9/1), The Phantom (11/1), Biennial (22/1), Isharah (33/1), Geordielandgangsta (33/1), Prince Florbury (80/1)
Swaffham Bulbeck faces nothing like the kind of rivals he did in the Victor Ludorum at Haydock in February, and is an interesting runner North of the Border for Olly Murphy. However, the hurdles debut of RETURN TICKET has been eagerly anticipated since he created a most pleasing impression in winning a Catterick bumper in December. His trainer Ruth Jefferson saddled a double at Hexham on Saturday evening, and should comfortably add another winner to her early season tally here.
