Has eight career wins to his name but only one has come on turf from his 25 turf starts and that came on much faster ground back in 2015. Useful apprentice in the saddle at least.
Ran a fair race over C&D when last seen but widest draw will be tough to overcome here and still without a win in nine turf starts.
Regularly getting beaten by wide margins in recent times. Return to turf could be seen as a postive but others arrive in better form and he's never won over a trip this short.
Gained his first win since landing a hat-trick in 2016 over C&D last time. More needed from 6lb higher but drawn well and can't be ruled out.
Only won once since 2013 and that came on fast ground, like many of his better efforts. Obvoiusly well-handicapped given that the win came from a 20lb higher mark but hard to fancy off the back of an absence.
Not won since 2014 and unplaced in six starts on AW this winter and nine starts for this yard in total. Desperately needs to bounce back.
Won back-to-back races in October 2016 but has been inconsistent since. Gets his optimum conditions here and he may be capable of running into a place.
Still a maiden after nine starts but did run well in a handicap at Wolverhampton when runner-up in December. Ran okay last time too so not without a shout if the first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect.
Still a maiden after 19 stats but she finished runner-up at Redcar when 100/1 towards the end of last year. May do better at some stage.
Still a maiden after 37 starts but only narrowly touched off over C&D last time and ran well at Yarmouth the time before. Place claims if in the same mood.
Forecasts
Celerity (4/1), Mitchum (9/2), The Hooded Claw (5/1), Spirit Of Zebedee (6/1), Snow Excuse (8/1), Little Miss Lola (8/1), Robbian (10/1), Archie Stevens (14/1), Imperial Legend (18/1), Henrietta's Dream (33/1)
MITCHUM was a winner over course and distance when last seen and he may be capable of running another big race despite a 6lb penalty. Celerity may be a long standing maiden but she's been running well on her last couple of starts and is another with course and distance form. Robbian isn't the most consistent but shouldn't be ruled out given that he gets his conditions here.
- Mitchum
- Celerity
- Robbian
