First run for this trainer (second overall) when landing C&D contest in March, narrowly edging out the re-opposing Primo's Comet. Contender once more.

Cost €47,000 as a two-year-old and the filly was off the mark at Catterick (5f, soft) on second start last back-end. Will probably want a bit further in time, but expected to go well here again.

Distance winner on turf at Lingfield last summer and ran fine race in Listed Fillies' event at Newbury subsequently. Returns to action with plenty in her favour judged on that form.

Run with some credit in maidens/nurseries last season, makes seasonal reappearance here and may lack turn of foot over minimum trip.

Poet's Voice gelding purchased for £18,000 as a yearling. Beaten easily in 5f Redcar (good) contest a year ago and off since. Best watched for now.

Shaped better in two runs since being gelded, close second over C&D behind Brian Ryan and another creditable effort on turf at Thirsk (5f, good to soft). Can get involved.

Bated Breath filly, improved on second start when 1¼L second of nine over 6f at Pontefract 11 days ago. Fitter for that run if handling this drop in trip.

Forecasts

Sarshampla (13/8), Brian Ryan (3/1), Fool For You (7/2), Primo's Comet (7/1), Madam Devious (7/1), Bella Ferrari (8/1), Burns Supper (33/1), Avenging Red (50/1)

Verdict

Richard Fahey's team are well up to speed and his filly FOOL FOR YOU might be able to build on her win at Catterick on second and final start last term. She has plenty scope for progress this season and can take the measure of Sarshampla, who ran well in a Listed Fillies' race at Newbury in the autumn and has solid claims. C&D winner Brian Ryan is also in the mix while Madam Devious is an interesting newcomer.
  1. Fool For You
  2. Sarshampla
  3. Brian Ryan
