Sea The Stars gelding won a Chelmsford maiden over 1m2f in August and not disgraced in Class 2 handicap at Goodwood next time. Should be more to come from Sir Michael Stoute's runner.

Acclamation gelding was a winner here in March over 1m4½f, rated just 2lb higher now but suspicion he might want that extra yardage.

Generally consistent front-runner in handicaps over shorter trips, won his maiden over this distance at Chelmsford and unexposed over this trip. Not one to concede too much rope to in front.

0-7 in his career so far and looked no closer to getting off the mark at Wolverhampton latest. Hard to make case for again.

Off the mark at the third time of asking in 1m AW maiden at Dundalk in March, that was a promising effort and goes handicapping from what could prove a lenient mark.

Forecasts

Karawaan (5/4), Elysees Palace (7/4), Rainbow Rebel (7/2), Corked (16/1), Bounderby (50/1)

Verdict

ELYSEES PALACE took a maiden at Dundalk last time out and gets a decent opening here seemingly on these terms now going handicapping. There should be more to come from Sir Mark Prescott's gelding and this is winnable. Karawaan also retains plenty of potential while the frontrunner Corked would be dangerous if allowed a handy time on the front end.
  1. Elysees Palace
  2. Karawaan
  3. Corked
