Won her last two point-to-points but didn't quite do it in the style of a 1/4 shot at Kimble last time in just a three runner race. The penalty she carries won't make things easy.
Usually runs her race in point-to-points and won this last year, but has been a bit below her best when looking at her most recent performances.
Three runs so far this year have been a way off her best, though she sometimes takes a while to get going each year. This is a competitive enough level for her.
Only finisher in an Exeter hunter chase last time in atrocious conditions but by far the best horse in the race there and in good form in point-to-points prior to that. May prefer a sounder surface.
Has run well in two recent hunter chases at Ludlow, her only two starts under rules of the year. No surprise to see her go one better over a trip which should suit.
Not disgraced on stable debut last time having been off for almost two years, but still has questions to answer back racing under rules.
Won her last two starts in point-to-points and a previous winner of this race, but needs to bounce back from a disappointing showing last year. Possibly going the right way to do so.
Ran well on her only previous start under rules, but generally not one to rely on. Has had wind surgery since her most recent run (beaten 6/4 favourite).
Has won her last three point-to-points (with a third in a bumper during that time to her name as well). The potential improver in the field on first start over fences under rules.
Forecasts
Frelia (11/4), Teeton Power (4/1), Queen Olivia (9/2), Dabinett Moon (13/2), Popaway (8/1), Palmaria (12/1), Roseyroo (14/1), Maybe Plenty (16/1), Martha's Benefit (25/1)
Last year's winner Frelia hasn't been at her best since but is an obvious candidate to run well back here again, while Queen Olivia is an obvious candidate having run very well at Ludlow recently. However a chance is taken on TEETON POWER. The only contender in the field who is even slightly unexposed, she has been doing it well in point-to-points recently, as well as not disgracing herself in a bumper over a trip much too short for her. She should fare very well on hunter chase debut.
- Teeton Power
- Queen Olivia
