Hasn't raced in Britain since 2016, was below par last year on pair of outings in Dubai. Quite useful at best, will have to be somewhere near that to oblige now.

Won over 1m at Newcastle in January and all his best recent form has been over that trip. Held last time at Kempton over 1m3f and may not want this far.

Form has been consistent in three runs over this sort of trip since the turn of the year, including a win at Lingfield in February. Should be competitive here.

Useful performer in France, but offered little both outings for this yard last year and recommend now returned from a break.

Given an easy enough time of things in front when decisively winning Chelmsford novice stakes early last month, reverts to handicap now and hasn't been thrown in. Not certain to get easy lead.

Won a jumpers' bumper here in March over C&D, held since dropped backed to 1m4½f. Bit more needed in this line-up back up in trip.

Forecasts

Tom's Rock (15/8), Shanghai Silver (11/4), West Coast Flyer (3/1), Testa Rossa (10/1), Dalshand (10/1), Jamacho (18/1)

Verdict

TOM'S ROCK might be the most reliable of these. He's one from three so far in 2018 and remains consistent throughout. Handicap debutant Shanghai Silver would be a danger if permitted any soft advantage on the front end while it should be worth noting the market vibes around West Coast Flyer, now back on these shores for the first time since 2016. Jamacho, winner of a jumpers' bumper here in March could sneak a place.
  1. Tom's Rock
  2. Shanghai Silver
  3. Jamacho
