Career victories include French Group 3 and Redcar Listed race in October. That sort of form would give him a chance here, and he's top-rated in this.

Group 2 winner when previously trained in Britain and not far away in a Group 1, didn't work out for him in Australia but much better in Canada latest and holds leading claims on first run back here.

C&D winner on debut who hasn't won in three starts since but has gone down by a neck in two good handicaps; this is easier than his last Group 3 assignment but he's been off for almost a year.

Not seem since down the field in Churchill's Chesham Stakes almost two years ago. Still has potential but entitled to need this after such a long lay-off.

Oh So Sharp winner (Group 3) as a two-year-old. Didn't progress last year but this is the easiest race she's run in for some time and she can't be ruled out.

Forecasts

Chessman (2/1), Arod (9/4), Jallota (7/2), Poet's Vanity (5/1), Magillen (20/1)

Verdict

A small field but still a competitive race, where none can be totally ruled out and a strong case can be built for four of the five. Things didn't work out for AROD in Australia but he showed he still retains his ability with a good performance at Woodbine last time and could return to winning ways here; he is, after all, a Group 2 winner in Britain. Jallota and Poet's Vanity have both also former Group-level winners and should also go very well.
  1. Arod
  2. Jallota
  3. Poet's Vanity
