Makes his handicap debut with a good apprentice taking the ride and he should appreciate the increased trip. Improved in both starts since his debut for a yard that have started the season well and he should handle this mark.

Trainer has roared into form of late and this one makes his handicap debut after being brought along steadily in maiden/novice events. Back on to turf now after leaving the impression that there was more to come last time out on the AW.

Yet to run in handicap company and highly tried when she was last seen in a German Listed race (7f, soft). Remains a maiden though and steps up significantly in trip here; yard have a good record at the track though (39% strike-rate past year).

Ran with some credit after 5 months off when making her handicap debut on the AW recently at this trip. Mark looks testing enough for now and needs to improve on what she has done so far.

Plenty of experience in handicaps and won one from the front (first-time blinkers) over 1m2f on his penultimate start. Tried over this trip last time in a first-time visor (retained) and the trip looked to stretch him slightly.

Back from a long break but failed once again to match his debut run at Newbury last time over 1m3f (66/1 chance). Bred to be suited by this sort of trip and now makes his handicap debut with more needed.

Not seen since Last October when he took a Leicester mile nursery on his second handicap start. That was his best performance but he will need to step forward from that again upped significantly in trip.

Forecasts

Diocletian (2/1), Rocky Shores (3/1), Strongarm Chaser (11/2), Font Vert (13/2), Mail Order (15/2), Sassie (12/1), Galloping Hogan (14/1)

Verdict

With the Channon yard in cracking form at the moment ROCKY SHORES is taken to add another win to their tally having looked as though there was more to come last time and he’s been brought along with handicaps in mind. Diocletian is another that comes from a yard in good form and he too should handle this step into handicap company off a mark that looks fine. Font Vert is the most experienced in handicap terms but this trip could stretch him and Mail Order who travels a fair way for this handicap debut from a yard with a good record here might be a bigger danger.
  1. Rocky Shores
  2. Diocletian
  3. Mail Order
