Better known for chasing exploits these days, not on a bad mark if he can recapture his form after a break but probably better on quicker ground and needs much further than this.
First start for new yard, lost his way somewhat last year but his Listowel effort over hurdles last September gives some hope that if a change of scenery does the trick, he could go close. Nothing wrong with this mark and handles the ground.
Brother to the smart hurdler Any Second Now, hasn't shown anything like the ability of him in three starts to date but now goes handicapping in a weakish event. No surprise to see him leave earlier form behind now. Watch market for a clue.
There's a couple of bits of form from last year that would give him a chance here, but whilst there's nothing wrong with conditions he's likely to need this after a break. Others preferred.
Not happened for him in four hurdles starts yet, and he was well beaten (at 33/1) on handicap debut at Galway last year. Absent since October and may well need this run to blow away the cobwebs.
Wasn't going anywhere quickly over hurdles when last seen and mark already starting to come down quite quickly. Others readily preferred.
Handles this ground and not a bad effort when third to Tintown Robin at Clonmel last November. Recent effort will have sharpened him up after a break and he could go close off this mark.
Lightly raced and room for improvement, has shown ability on more than one occasion and far from disgraced on recent handicap debut. Extra distance will help her cause here and wouldn't need much more to see her in the frame.
Winner at Wexford last July but that was on good ground, and she's still 6lb higher here. Plenty on her plate after an absence and one to watch when the ground quickens up a bit.
Young enough to improve but in truth will have to, although his midfield finish at Cork in January hinted at better to come. Not totally discounted here, and would be of more interest if there's market support.
Just the one win in 27 starts, although there's a few placed efforts to show for his efforts as well. Conditions fine but mark in decline after some moderate efforts this spring. Others make more appeal.
Handicap debut today and will no doubt find this much easier than a couple of the tasks he's taken on to date, but in truth hasn't really shown enough to make him of interest here.
Only beaten a handful of horses home in three hurdles and one chase start. Goes handicapping on a basement mark but hard to see where the necessary improvement is coming from.
Lightly raced for one his age, only one win to his name but not disgraced when third at Tramore last time out and won't mind the conditions. Can be considered for e/w purposes.
Not beaten far when fourth at Tramore in August last year but subsequent efforts were lacking. May want better ground and likely to need this after a break. Cheekpieces given a try today.
Well into the veteran stage now and an immediate problem as his overall strike rate is very poor. Can't be entertained as the likely winner here after some moderate efforts.
Forecasts
Accordion Twilight (9/2), Buck Dancing (13/2), Roxboro Road (7/1), Miss Echrad (7/1), Bay Hill (7/1), Muroor (8/1), Ceide Fields (10/1), Coole Craft (12/1), Eusebius (16/1), Hugh Divots (20/1), Viking Hoard (20/1), Divin Desir (25/1), Rathnaleen Girl (33/1), Voluptueux (33/1), Paudi The Punter (50/1), Sylvi (50/1)
Roxboro Road must be better than he's shown so far and if he's strong in the market tonight, that money should be noted quite strongly. But MISS ECHRAD is another that looks a potential improver now stepping up in trip and she can come out on top in a tricky event to solve for punters. Viking Hoard and the well treated Bay Hill look best of the rest.
- Miss Echrad
- Roxboro Road
- Bay Hill
