Improved from debut to finish fourth of 14 at Gowran in a maiden hurdle last year and not beaten far when runner-up at Clonmel at the end of last season. Fit from a reappearance run over hurdles and rates as the type to make a better chaser.
Useful over hurdles, latest win came at Wexford in June but will probably need to improve to play a part here on debut over the larger obstacles.
Not seen since he was pulled up at Cheltenham in 2016. Useful over hurdles but entitled to need this on first start for some time debuting over fences.
Grade 3 winner over hurdles and has been plying his trade at a useful level over fences. Disappointed a little last time out but obvious claims in this field back in this sphere.
Not won since landing a Listed race at the Curragh in 2014. Has run well over fences, most recently at Fairyhouse in April but he looks up against it here against some of these.
Bumper winner who landed a maiden hurdle when last seen at Clonmel. Entitled to need this on return from a lengthy absence making his debut over fences.
Useful over hurdles and can be forgiven his debut over fences when badly hampered at the first last time. Well backed that day and has place claims here.
Gained a second win when landing a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse just over a year ago. Badly struggling on his most recent starts though, tailed off in three runs over fences and others preferred here.
Maiden hurdle winner who went well on debut over fences at Galway in October. In the process of bouncing back from a poor effort at that same course when he fell two out at Fairyhouse last time and may be able to gain compensation here.
Failed to finish in two point-to-points and he's been in poor form in maiden hurdle company this year. Hard to fancy.
Tailed off on all four starts to date and very few signs of encouragement at the Galway Festival when last seen.
Handicap hurdle winner who refused at the last when well beaten at 50/1 on chase debut last time out. Plenty more needed.
Forecasts
Gangster (5/4), Kagney (3/1), Uaintseenothingyet (8/1), Mon Lino (8/1), Inis Meain (14/1), Eshtiaal (14/1), Camlann (16/1), Showem Silver (50/1), Beginningtogetup (50/1), Golden Sunset (66/1), Sierra Law (100/1), Katbart (100/1)
GANGSTER brings the best form to the table and will be hard to beat if he can bounce back from a disappointing run over hurdles last time. Beginningtogetup has shown promise over hurdles but Uaintseenothingyet could run well if he puts in a good round of jumping and rates as the main danger to the selection.
- Gangster
- Uaintseenothingyet
- Beginningtogetup
