Landed maiden hurdle here on only previous track visit, and this term after runnng well on first start following wind surgery was outclassed in hot hurdle last time. Chasing bow here and a good show would not surprise.

Won Ludlow novice hurdle in October and wasn't disgraced in Grade 2 race last time at Newbury. Switches to fences for yard ticking along nicely this spring and looks a contender on that evidence.

Landed maiden hurdle here last time having placed at this track on only two previous visits. Beaten just a length on chasing bow at Market Rasen in February before disappointing on only subsequent start over fences, but not one to dismiss lightly.

In fine form over hurdles this winter rattling up an impressive hat-trick but incurred the handicapper's wrath and finished runner-up last two starts in sellers. First start for new yard now and not without a chance on chaisng bow.

Ran creditably when thrid on seaosnal return at Carlisle but has done nothing since then to warrant much optimisim. May do better over fences but on balance doesn't look one to get too excited about. Wears first time tongue-tie.

33 races without a winning, this veteran mare suddenly got the hang of things and comes here on a hat-trick after wins at Hereford and Sedgefield. Despite 12lb rise for latest win she is still 8lb out of the handicap but jockey claims useful 7lb.

Forecasts

Phoeniciana (9/4), Atlanta Ablaze (9/4), Bennys Girl (4/1), Monar Rose (9/2), Indian Native (7/1), Tequila Secret (16/1), Saucysioux (16/1)

Verdict

ATLANTA ABLAZE is suggested in a race where there are a numbe rof unknown quantities over fences. She drops in class having tackled a hot race over hurdles last time and may be good enough to get off to a winning start over the larger obstacles. Despite being 8lb wrong at the weights, Bennys Girl should give supporters a run for their money as she bids for a hat-trick, while Monar Rose, Indian Native, and Phoeniciana are others with claims.
  1. Atlanta Ablaze
  2. Bennys Girl
  3. Indian Native
