8/11
Strong-travelling sort who is reinventing himself over hurdles after losing his way as a chaser. Pulled up in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham (3m, soft) last month but this is a much less taxing mission and stamina is assured.

Easy winner at Bangor last month (2m3½f) with Bialco held in second spot, just failed under a penalty next time at Sedgefield. Potentially vulnerable once more.

Impressive winner of novice hurdles at Chepstow (2m3½f, heavy) and Ffos Las (2m, heavy) so far, likely has plenty more progress and major threat to all if seeing out this longer trip.

Forecasts

Calett Mad (8/11), Scorpion Sid (15/8), Knockrobin (15/2), Bialco (10/1)

Verdict

CALETT MAD has achieved most and is favoured seemingly on these terms. He was pulled up at the Cheltenham Festival in Grade 1 fare last month but will find this appreciably less taxing. Uneaten hurdler Scorpion Sid has the potential to be a serious threat but must answer a question in regards to his stamina here. Knockrobin holds Bialco on their Bangor meeting last month.
