Improved from debut to win a maiden at the back end of 2016 but not seen since that run and has had a switch of yards in the interim. Market should reveal expectations but likely best watched on these terms.

Official rating suggests he has plenty to find here, giving weight away to most and hard to see him losing his maiden tag in this race.

Ran well here over 7f last year and improved on third start to win comfortably at Brighton. Sets a solid standard here.

Nice debut at Sandown when runner-up of nine but not as good at that same course last time when well beaten at odds-on. Worth giving another chance to and should do better if he gets away on terms.

Iffraaj colt, cost 100,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to two winners and dam a winner and a half-sister to a Group 1 winner over 7f. Yard flying and can ready a debutante but work cut out against some of these with no experience.

The Carbon Unit colt, seemingly bred for further than this and well beaten at Musselburgh on debut last month. Others preferred.

Cape Cross filly, cost €58,000 as a yearling. Not without promise on her two Lingfield runs but handicap company may be a more likely route as far as a win is concerned.

Tornequeta May105
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: J Quinn| T: A West
100/1
Not beaten a rival home in two starts to date and very hard to fancy after showing nothing at Lingfield last time.

Forecasts

King Of The Sand (11/8), Master Of Wine (15/8), Mokhles (4/1), Simoon (10/1), Cross My Mind (12/1), Zig Zag Zyggy (50/1), Duhr (100/1), Tornequeta May (100/1)

Verdict

KING OF THE SAND sets a solid standard and given he's run well here before and he has Ryan Moore in the saddle, he's taken to get his head in front. Master Of Wine is of interest despite a disappointing run last time while Mokhles shouldn't be ruled out, particularly if there's any market support.
  1. King Of The Sand
  2. Mokhles
  3. Master Of Wine
