Only win in 22 starts came at Haydock in May, 2015. Has been running respectably on the AW recently and returns to turf on a feasible mark.
Back to winning form on the AW over 1m½f at Wolverhampton in February and has run well on both starts since. Tries this slightly longer trip on return to turf and warrants respect.
Two runs on the AW since returning to action this month and the latest saw him finish a close-up third of nine at Lingfield. Trip and ground fine so bold show is on the cards in a first-time tongue tie.
Not much to shout about on the AW since the turn of the year and has yet to prove conclusively that he stays this trip. Has dropped to a tempting handicap mark, however.
Knocking on the door on the AW on last three starts when trained by Don Cantillon, the latest on soft ground at Doncaster. First run for new trainer off 3lb higher and looks a major player.
Five wins from 11 starts on the AW, but 0-12 on turf and races off a 15lb lower rating. In good heart at present and represents an in-form stable, but that record on grass is offputting.
Won twice last season when she competed from 1m2f to 1m5f. Not at her best in two AW runs this year, the latter when tried in a visor which is retained. Should be happier back on turf.
Only win came over C&D in June, last year, when trained by Richard Hughes. Has been running without much joy over hurdles for new trainer, but switch back to the Flat should see her in a better light. Only 1lb higher than when last successful.
Forecasts
Stormingin (9/4), Arctic Sea (4/1), Poetic Force (5/1), Derek Duval (11/2), Eltezam (6/1), Let's Be Happy (10/1), Becca Campbell (10/1), Dr Julius No (33/1)
Stormingin is tempting on his first start for his shrewd stable, while the likes of Eltezam, Derek Duval and Let's Be Happy warrant respect, but the selection is ARCTIC SEA, who ran well at Lingfield last time, will enjoy the switch to decent ground on turf and may improve for the fitting of a tongue tie. Poetic Force hails from a yard in fine form, but seems much better on the AW,
- Arctic Sea
- Stormingin
- Derek Duval
