Ended last term with wins at Chepstow and Goodwood under today's jockey. 6lb higher now than latest success, but handles soft ground and has an Oaks entry that suggests connections believe she will handle this extra three furlongs.
Half-sister to Group 1 winner Journey, she stayed on well to win Newmarket novice stakes last September beating recent impressive HQ maiden winner. Entered in both English and Irish Oaks and represents a top yard so has plenty going for her.
Scored at Beverley last term and ran very well when fourth in Naas sales race before being outclassed final two starts. Chance not dismissed but suspicion others have more improvement in them.
Step up in trip should suit as needed every yard of 7f to score at Kempton in September. From a decent family but stable still yet to have a winner on turf so may be better for this outing.
Granddaughter of the great Time Charter, she kept on to win 7f Newbury novice stakes last term before fourth to recent Feilden Stakes winner Mildenberger in listed event at Salisbury. By Dutch Art though so stamina for 10f not totally guaranteed.
Seven race maiden, her last five starts last term were in France where she shaped well on a couple of occasions. Stamina on dam's side so should stay but might find a few too good for her.
Powerful northern yard has 25% strike rate at this track so deserves respect having had a pipe opener at Newcastle last month. Won Chepstow 6f novice stakes last July then went close there at 1m so should stay extra 2f this term.
Daughter of Nathaniel who had four runs last season but looked type to do better this year over further. Starts this campaign on feasilble mark and dam won at listed level over this trip so worth a market check.
Forecasts
Stream Song (1/1), Time Change (9/2), Apple Anni (6/1), Fabulous Red (9/1), Zoraya (9/1), Gift of Hera (10/1), Double Reflection (20/1), Star Of Vendome (33/1)
There are any number of potential improvers in this race but it's hard to get away from the well bred John Gosden-trained STREAM SONG who beat a recent Newmarket winner on her third start last season. She could prove to be much better than this level. A similar comment applies to top weight Zoraya, winner of her final two outings last campaign, while northern raider Double Reflection is another who could do well this term. Time Change is from a great family and is worth a second glance, and Gift of Hera is another capable of doing better this year.
- Stream Song
- Double Reflection
- Time Change
