Already has a rating 131 having won a small field bumper and maiden over hurdles at Ascot last time making up for his fall last time on his previous start. His second to Black Op reads well and he should be able to concede a penalty to his rivals.

Hooded for the first time as he looks to be going the wrong way over hurdles having previously shown some promise. Tried at various trips with his previous run at this trip being his best over hurdles but a risky proposition now.

Won a bumper on his debut here last year (caused a surprise) but failed to show anything further in that sphere. Started at 16/1 for his hurdling debut back here over slightly shorter but finished last; in danger of becoming disappointing.

Has some decent jumping relations in his pedigree but very much ran as if the experience was needed on his hurdles debut. Wasn't given a hard time though and there may well be better to come here and down the line.

Having showed some ability on his bumper debut he's also caught the eye on his two hurdling starts so far. May not have been suited by the drop in trip last time at Doncaster and a return to 2m4f should suit far better; main danger after wind op.

Modest form only so far over hurdles and failed last time to build on his best effort so far. That remains poor form though and it would be a major surprise to see him get anywhere near the principals here.

Forecasts

Colonial Dreams (2/5), Tayzar (3/1), Infinite Sun (8/1), Langness (33/1), Haasab (33/1), Trust Me I'm A Dr (200/1)

Verdict

It’s taken a little while for COLONIAL DREAMS to totally get his act together over hurdles but he beat a relatively useful field last time at Ascot and his second to Black Op stands out like a beacon amongst the form shown by this field so far. Tayzar has shown some promise in most of his runs with the latest outing being his best and a return to this trio should suit. Langness looks very much one for the future who will need some more experience yet and this may offer a chance to Infinite Sun to get his career back on track to a certain extent.
