Only win in 14 starts came over C&D as a juvenile. Has been consistent this year without winning and tries his luck for a new trainer after a spell with David O'Meara.
Finished third when last seen at Ripon in September. Long time since she won and is probably best watched on her reappearance in first-time blinkers.
Has been around the block a few times and has 10 wins on his CV, two of which have come on the Southwell Fibresand. Last of nine on most recent start at Chelmsford so has a bit to prove.
Two wins in last three starts, latterly over C&D. Up 6lb, but has the assistance of a top amateur rider who won this last year. Has to go on the short list.
Reappearing after a break when well beaten over 5f at Bath last month. Best recent form has been over 7f and probably needs some help from the handicapper.
Three-time winner on AW surfaces, including over C&D. Has dropped to a fair mark, but has fitness to prove on his seasonal reappearance.
First run since a wind operation when last of nine at Musselburgh last month. Tackles an AW surface for the the first time and is probably best watched.
Good run to be second over C&D on latest start and has solid each-way claims off 1lb higher. Career record of 1-23 is slightly offputting, however.
Won twice on turf last year, but both those wins came over further. Likely to find this happening all too quickly over this trip on first outing since August.
Won over C&D in January, but bit of a mixed bag since. Only 1lb higher than when last successful so has a sound chance if bouncing back to his best,
Only win in 34 starts came over C&D in October. Ran well to be second at Chelmsford last time and has fair prospects off only 1lb higher.
Irish import who won twice at Dundalk at the back end of last year. Mid-division on first start for this stable over 7f at Lingfield recently and return to a shorter trip should suit.
Successful over C&D when last seen in November. Fair chance off 3lb higher if sharp enough after his break, but wide draw is a worry.
Forecasts
It Must Be Faith (3/1), Laughton (10/3), The Amber Fort (8/1), Berlios (8/1), Arcanista (9/1), Pushkin Museum (11/1), Meshardal (11/1), Rose Marmara (18/1), Ticks The Boxes (20/1), Dark Confidant (20/1), Searanger (25/1), Wahaab (33/1), Chicago School (66/1)
Pushkin Museum and Arcanista have quite recent C&D victories to their name and are well enough weighted to make their presence felt, but the vote goes to IT MUST BE FAITH, who has won two of his last three starts, latterly over C&D, and has the assistance of a top amateur rider who won this race last year. Chicago School can get involved over this shorter trip, while Berlios is another to consider.
- It Must Be Faith
- Arcanista
- Pushkin Museum
