Horse A-Z
Twice placed in Irish point-to-points (3m), and sold for £15,000 in June 2017. Makes his rules/stable debut at a realistic level, but rather late on in the jumps season.

Irish point-to-point winner on debut in April 2017 (3m, gd/yld) and cost €75,000. Full-brother to a 2m6f hurdle winner, and the early signs in bumpers suggest that he'll be strongest when tackling obstacles under rules.
Unraced first foal by Jeremy out of Aweebounce. Cost £40,000 as a three-year-old, carries the shiny JP McManus silks and likely a weight of expectation. Market helpful.

Stable not noted for its bumper winners but this gelding made a decent start in the light of those facts when beaten less than 7L at 16-1 on his Fontwell debut (1m5½f, heavy) in February. Can improve for this longer trip.
Unraced fifth foal by Flemensfirth out of the unraced mare Accordian Rules. Cost €44,000 as a three-year-old so likely to be able to compete against this type of opposition.
€28,000 three-year-old who shaped with promise on debut at Market Rasen in November, beaten just shy of 5L by Benny's Bridge. Not as strong next time, but racing on heavy ground there might've been asking just too much.
Point-to-point winner in December, he's finished runner up on both starts under rules for his new trainer (Catterick and Carlisle). Possibly a fraction quirky (keen and lairy), hence the application of the hood. Respected.

Unraced fifth foal by Aizavoski out of Hidden Reserve. Cost €17,500 as a foal, but a whopping €110,000 as a three-year-old. Closely related to winners Hardline and Sangha River. Looks a very likely type on paper.

Forecasts

Chez Hans (15/8), Norman Stanley (7/2), Twotwothree (5/1), Always Du Cerisier (8/1), Magical Miss (8/1), Burns Cross (9/1), Mr Macho (12/1), Go As You Please (14/1), Iwilldoit (16/1), Rapper (25/1)

Verdict

Another divided contest to conclude the Bangor action, and the type of race where it'll probably pay to follow the market vibes. The likes of Burns Cross, Norman Stanley and Twotwothree have shown obvious signs of ability, but equally appear exposed to a potential above average newcomer. Should such a horse exist, it looks most likely to be either the JP McManus owned Go As You Please, or the Olly Murphy trained CHEZ HANS. A tentative vote goes to the latter, who cost a whopping €110,000 as a three-year-old, is closely related to a couple of bumper winners, and looks a most likely type on paper.
  1. Chez Hans
  2. Go As You Please
  3. Twotwothree
