Successful on good ground at Fontwell in October but held since including when 1L second in a three runner event at Ascot (2m5f, soft) last time. Wears a hood for the first time.
Just touched off in a soft ground handicap chase at Doncaster on his penultimate outing. Well beaten at Cheltenham subsequently and interesting to see how he fares in this.
Handicap chase winner on good-to-soft ground at Warwick in February. Good second off amark of 136 subsequently but likely more needed if he's to record a fifth chase success in this.
Winner of three of his five starts over fences last summer including over this trip at Killarney (good) in August. Unraced since and one for the shortlist in this.
Bidding to complete a hat-trick when falling in a Grade 1 at Kempton in December. Making her first appearance since and looks likely to play a leading role here.
Forecasts
Mia's Storm (15/8), Adrien Du Pont (7/2), Peregrine Run (7/2), Bigmartre (4/1), Cobra De Mai (7/1)
MIA'S STORM was in good form earlier this season and she can put a Kempton fall in December behind her by taking this five runner Grade 2 event. The selection has won on good ground in the past and the sole mare in the line-up can see off the returning Peregrine Run who is set to make his first start of 2018 in this. Bigmartre, a disappointing seventh at Cheltenham last time out can claim third here.
- Mia's Storm
- Peregrine Run
- Bigmartre
