Denied in a hat-trick bid when upped to this trip in Listed company when last seen at Newmarket. Open to improvement but conceding weight to these won't be easy.
Plenty of promise in three runs as a juvenile, including when fourth at Royal Ascot in Listed company. Didn't need to improve to lose his maiden tag in style at Wolverhampton last time out. this is tougher but more to come and yard are in form.
Casamento colt, cost €16,000 as a yearling. Dam a half-sister to middle-distance winner Sunstone, related to Oaks winner. Impressive debut winner at Nottingham and while it's hard to know what that form is worth, he should improve now upped in trip.
Ran well on debut when placed at Newmarket and confirmed the promise of that run to win at Leicester when last seen. Another who will appreciate the step up in trip here but certainly needs improvement to figure.
Surprise 16/1 winner at Goodwood on debut but didn't go on from that over a mile here when last seen in September. Likely that was just a blip but this is much tougher and likely second string on jockey bookings.
Impressive winner on debut and acquitted himself well in Listed company on three subsequent starts. Ran well when narrowly defeated at Kempton on his return to action and every chance he will take a step forward from that.
Forecasts
Bombyx (9/4), Tigre du Terre (5/2), Bartholomeu Dias (7/2), Rastrelli (9/2), Blazing Tunder (12/1), Bon Scotte (20/1)
Charlie Hills has started the season with a bang and Bartholomeu Dias and a repeat of the form that saw him go close at Royal Ascot last year may be enough to see him land this. However, TIGRE DU TERRE ran well in Listed company throughout last season and he should take a step forward here. Blazing Thunder will appreciate the step up in trip and can't be ruled out.
