Didn't show much on debut for this yard at Musselburgh on return but trainer is very good with these types and likely to return to form soon. Right back at his very best when landing a Group 2 last year and worthy of plenty of respect here.
Shock winner of a Chantilly Group 3 in 2016. Bounced back to form after a disappointing start to the campaign last year with a Listed success at Ascot but may struggle to figure in handicap company off this mark and entitled to need the run.
Has been kept busy over the winter and not beaten far in a hat-trick bid at Kempton last time when third of eight. Needs to prove he's as effective on turf here but not discounted and drop back in trip no issue here.
Got the better of a smart sort in Listed event at Lingfield two starts back but he's not as effective on turf (though mark does reflect that) and he's a very hard horse to predict. Disappointed on latest run and not sure to be suited by this track.
Followed up his maiden win on debut with a Listed success two starts later and not disgraced in Group company subsequently. Form tailed off towards the end of the season but on a very nice mark if he can bounce back.
Consistent handicapper who got his head back in front when breaking the track record at Kempton last time. 2lb rise looks fair and he has claims here provided he doesn't bump into a well-handicapped one.
Landed a Group 3 on just his third start back in 2015 but not won since. Has been running okay since joining this yard, placed at Musselburgh last time out and a return to better ground may suit. Yard won this last year.
A Group 3 winner in Turkey in 2015 and he was a surprise 25/1 winner on debut for this yard on first start since wind surgery. Not as good at Lingfield last time and probably held by the handicapper for now.
Forecasts
Global Applause (10/3), A Momentofmadness (7/2), Blue De Vega (9/2), Gracious John (6/1), Tomily (15/2), Just Glamorous (12/1), Caspian Prince (12/1), Orvar (16/1)
A MOMENTOFMADNESS is very consistent and clearly thriving at present having broken the track-record at Kempton last time out. The danger would be a well-handicapped sort such as Global Applause or Caspian Prince who are Group winners lurking on dangerous handicap marks.
- A Momentofmadness
- Global Applause
- Caspian Prince
