Age: 9|  Weight: 12-0| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR:  102
12/1
Winner over further back i 2016 but not seen much on a racecourse since then, and two starts this season have revealed little about how much ability he retains. Tough to make a solid case for at present.
2
Horse silk
Mab Dab151
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Tom Cannon| T: Mrs L C Jewell| OR:  100
7/1
Will enjoy the drying ground (winner on good to firm last year) and has fallen back to a winning mark, so has some plus points. Possible he will need this after an absence though, so probably one to watch today.
3
Horse silk
Druid's Follyh,t102
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: James Best| T: R Walford| OR:  100
11/4
Better class than this at best but on the downgrade these days and despite falling to a basement mark, isn't showing any signs of a revival at the moment. Best watched until doing so.
4
Horse silk
Dunn's Riverb141
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: R T Dunne| T: Jack Barber| OR:  94
8/1
Point-to-point form nothing out of the ordinary but has shown the odd glimmer of ability in a couple of hurdles. Looks feasibly treated and should improve for this step up in trip, so keep an eye on the market for clues.
5
Horse silk
Elusive Cowboyp19
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: William Clarke(7)| T: Miss M P Bryant| OR:  93
66/1
Only moderate on the Flat and latest run over hurdles left plenty to be desired too. Only 1-24 overall and unlikely to double his tally today.
6
Horse silk
Ballyantics39
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Mr James King(5)| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  90
7/2
Seems to have found his level already and although he plugged on for a distant fourth at Taunton latest, this drop back in trip and likely quicker ground don't look like positives. Yard going well though, so has that going for him.
7
Horse silk
Keep To The Beat37
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-1| J: N P Madden| T: P Phelan| OR:  89
20/1
Better than this at her peak and her third at Plumpton in February hinted that all isn't lost just yet, but she flopped again at Huntingdon latest and in truth, looks an unlikely winner here.
8
Horse silk
Celma Des Bois57
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: A Glassonbury| T: R Rowe| OR:  87
9/2
Not a dreadful effort when going from the front at Kempton in April last year and again hinted at better to come when an eyecatching fifth off the back of an absence at Huntington latest. One of the more interesting ones.
9
Horse silk
Sisania99
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-7| J: Jack Sherwood(3)| T: Miss S Smith| OR:  81| C
9/1
First start for new yard (was with Gary Moore) and was badly on nthe downgrade when last seen out. Trip and track both fine though, so if rejuvenated by a change of scenery, might produce a better effort here.
10
Horse silk
Cockerp63
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-6| J: M Goldstein| T: A Blackmore| OR:  80
14/1
Falling quickly in the handicap after a series of moderate efforts and did no better at Fakenham last time either. Hard to make any sort of case for at present.
11
Horse silk
Walk Of Gleams53
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-0| J: Adam Wedge| T: Miss A M Newton-Smith| OR:  74
16/1
Going nowhere fast at present and handicap mark now falling through the floor as a result. Can't get much lower than she does here and unlikely to make it 16th time lucky.

Forecasts

Druid's Folly (11/4), Ballyantics (7/2), Celma Des Bois (9/2), Mab Dab (7/1), Dunn's River (8/1), Sisania (9/1), Generous Helpings (12/1), Cocker (14/1), Walk Of Gleams (16/1), Keep To The Beat (20/1), Elusive Cowboy (66/1)

Verdict

The likes of Sisania and Dunn's River both need a market check as there are legitiamte reasons why a better effort may be forthcoming today, but as it stands CELMA DES BOIS makes most appeal. He caught the eye at Huntingdon last time and looks a likely improver today. Ballyantics comes from a yard going well and could be capable of a bit more.
  1. Celma Des Bois
  2. Dunn's River
  3. Ballyantics
