Winner over slightly shorter at Doncaster in February and then far from disgraced in a Grade 3 handicap at Sandown last time, looking like this trip would suit. Yard starting to fire after a moderate spell and he looks one of the players here.

Looked a useful recruit when winning his bumper and then a novice hurdle on first two starts, but needs to put a lesser effort at Huntingdon last time out behind him and with the yard still rather in the doldrums, might be best watched today.

Hadn't shown much in novice hurdles until defying his 150/1 price tag at Fakenham last tie time to finish within hailing distance of the winner, a much improved effort. Needs plenty more but is at least going the right way now.
Three starts at huge prices and has only beaten two horses home in them. No realistic chance here.

Not much to show for his efforts in point-to-points and did no better in a novice hurdle at Plumpton last time. Can;t be looked at as the winner.
Related to some smart sorts but has shown next to nothing to date, and wind surgery seems to have done little to improve the situation. May improve at some point but hard to be confident when.
Half brother to Gold Cup winner Native River, which gives an indication that he'll want a lot further in time, Shown quirks already and although with a top yard, may be one that simply needs a bit more time.
A couple of efforts so far indicate there's a bit of ability there, and he wasn't totally disgraced behind the useful Euxton Lane at Newbury last time, but looks one for handicaps after today.
First start for new yard (formerly with Susan Corbett) but the change of scenery needs to have had a major effect as he's shown next to nothing in three Flat starts.
Sent off huge prices both starts and is yet t beat a horse home. Not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Point-to-point winner about a year ago but only seen once on a racecourse since then, and was pulled up at Plumpton in November. May have had issues and best watched today.

Nice looking filly that showed a bit (despite greenness) on debut at Ascot but not so good at Plumpton last time. Hurdles debut today and likely to find a few of these too good.

Forecasts

Canelo (8/11), Dandy Dan (6/4), One Night In Milan (8/1), Chimes Of Dylan (14/1), Frozen Motion (20/1), Beyond Supremacy (25/1), Pandinus Imperator (33/1), Dancecraft (33/1), Kerry's Boy (40/1), Swift Native (40/1), The Winningtipster (80/1), Cockney Seagull (150/1), Wontstopmenow (200/1), Hiland Oscar (200/1)

Verdict

Not too many to concentrate on and CANELO just about holds the best credentials. He looks like he has more to offer at this trip and his fourth in a much better race than this at Sandown reads well. Dandy Dan looks clear second best but does need to put a moderate effort at Huntingdon behind him. Chimes Of Dylan may be best of the rest.
  1. Canelo
  2. Dandy Dan
  3. Chimes Of Dylan
