Half-sister to a 6f winner in Qatar, though otherwise her pedigree points more to middle distances. Stable usually at around 15% with its juveniles on turf, so market check should help with a guide to expectations.
Cost just £4,500 as a yearling. First foal of a unplaced sprinter who is half-sister to Listed-placed 5f-6f winner Annunciation out of a 6f two-year-old winner. Bred for these shorter trips though may find these conditions against her.
Has a likeable sprint pedigree and although he dam was a fast ground lover, her sire Monsieur Bond was no stranger to success with cut underfoot. Stable not noted for its juveniles, but this is an interesting newcomer.
11th foal and half-sister to seven winners inc. Chateau Istana (5f inc. two-year-old Group 2) and Group 3 winner Prince Of Light. Dam a US 6f winner. Stable already among the winners this month and she should be capable of a good debut.
Second foal of a 5f (inc at two) winning half-sister to 5f AW winner Rosie Cross out of unraced granddaughter of 1m½f Group 3 winner Petroleuse. 33-1 and beaten 19½L on debut at Newcastle last month, but likely to be better this time.
Not sold as a foal but then cost €23,000 as a yearling. Full-sister to 5f two-year-old winner Porchy Party and half-sister to a Czech 6f (at two) and 7f winner. Stamina on dam's side of pedigree. Stable in decent form. Good debut is anticipated.
First foal by Sir Percy out of a dam who won as a juvenile over 7f and who stayed 1m2f. May find this test a little on the sharp side, though both sire and dam won on soft ground, so not written off on her debut.
36,000 gns yearling and half-sister to a two-year-old winner over this trip. Dam a 6f juvenile scorer, closely related to a 7f juvenile winner. Nice enough pedigree, although there is little within it to suggest that the forecast ground will suit.
87,000 gns foal. Half-sister to 1m Fibresand winner Upgrade out of a 6f/1m winning full-sister to Ire/Fr 5½f-6f winner Raja, half-sister to 6f Group 1 winner Pipalong. Both stable's turf juveniles have been placed so far this term. Can go well.
€24,000 yearling. Ninth foal and half-sister to three juvenile winners, one of whom won an Italian Listed event. Dam also a two-year-old winner over 7f, out of 5f juvenile winner. Both sire and dam won on soft ground. Market check.
Forecasts
Posh Perfect (5/2), Light My Fire (10/3), Kodinar (4/1), Oxygenic (8/1), Maggies Passion (12/1), Dame Gladys (14/1), Rock Party (16/1), Don't Tell Dandy (22/1), Kyroc (25/1), Josiebond (66/1)
With the William Haggas runners in good form it could pay to side with debutante KODINAR to land the season's opener at the track. The filly has a sprint pedigree and we will take the chance that she will handle these conditions. Josiebond and Rock Party both have pedigrees that suggest that they could act better than many on the forecast heavy ground, while Posh Perfect is interesting and should be able to give a good account.
