Lightly-raced Choisir gelding, off the mark here last week over 5f. Every chance there is more to come despite a 4lb rise and bred to handle this trip.

Filly by Approve, has won a maiden, a handicap and a claimer here over 6f/7f since mid-February for Joseph O'Brien. Up 19lb all told for that sequence but needs serious consideration on first start for new trainer.

C&D winner last month, finished 2¼L down on Gottardo last week over the minimum trip having attempted to come from off the pace. Blinkers go on now and remains central to the theme under Billy Lee.

C&D winner here last month, not far behind Gottardo over 5f here eight days ago and gets help at the weights now but suspicion is that rival will have the answers again over this extra furlong.

Fair efforts in all three efforts here late last year in handicaps / maiden over 5f/6f. Returns from a break and will have to improve to score on these terms it seems.

Only moderate promise exhibited in turf campaign last summer, returns from seven-month absence for first taste of AW action and others seemingly holding stronger claims.

Thrice-raced Dandy Man filly, in maidens at this track (5f/6f) and Navan (5f, heavy) this spring. Is race-fit and potentially could improve now sent handicapping.

Winner of a poor race by Newbury standards when with Richard Hannon. Poor so far for this handler, including last week when dropped right back in trip to 5f here in race won by Gottardo. Plenty to find with re-opposing rivals.

Rhythm Of Loveb118
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-4| J: D E Sheehy(5)| T: D Hogan| OR:  55
28/1
Frustrating sort on turf so far, having shown initial promise in maidens last summer. Heavy ground at Cork didn't suit on seasonal bow (tailed off), blinkers added here for AW bow and will have to really take to this surface to prevail.

Forecasts

It's All A Joke (5/2), Gottardo (5/2), Highly Approved (11/2), Verhoyen (11/2), Ar Saoirse (12/1), Very Smart (12/1), Premier League (14/1), Rhythm Of Love (28/1), That's My Girl (33/1)

Verdict

The top two on the card look the pair to focus on in the finale and HIGHLY APPROVED earns the nod in his bid for a course four-timer. He's been improving rapidly for Joseph O'Brien before changing hands and looks to have plenty scope under his new rating, with Tom Madden taking a useful 5lb off. Gottardo, a winner over 5f here last week, shouldn't be inconvenienced up in trip and is a worthy adversary. Verhoyen and It's All A Joke can fight out the minors, while Very Smart could improve now handicapping.
  1. Highly Approved
  2. Gottardo
  3. Verhoyen
