2/5
Unpenalised for a straight-forward 17L success in a C&D conditional jockeys handicap hurdle last week. That was his second victory in his last three starts, so he rates as impossible to oppose with the same young rider back aboard.

Regressive since finishing second in a 2m4f+ maiden hurdle at Ayr in November (heavy), and difficult to consider as a result despite a steadily easing handicap mark.

Runner up on his hurdles debut at Musselburgh in December after leaving Hughie Morrison for 10,000 gns the previous month (rated 71 on the Flat). However, that was in a very weak race and he's shown relatively little since. Handicap debut.

11/1
Successful from just a 1lb lower mark at Wetherby in March 2017 (2m good to soft), and hasn't seen all that much racing since. Unexposed overall after making just six hurdles starts, but off the track since November 2017.

Regularly hits the frame, but remains a maiden after 15 starts (0 from 11 over hurdles). Stays much further than this 2m1f trip and handles cut, but the handicapper very much has her where he's comfortable.

40/1
Filled the rear-division placings since finishing just under 10L third at Kilbeggan in April 2017 (100/1). Makes a foray over to England for just her second start in a handicap, but tough to fancy unless market support arrives.

Beaten under 8L when finishing fifth to Our Lucas on debut for this trainer over C&D last month. Possible he's capable of minor improvement, but hasn't won since December 2016, and that's off putting.

Forecasts

Skywards Reward (2/5), Floramoss (11/2), Suggestion (11/1), Perseid (12/1), Instingtive (12/1), Graystown (16/1), Pastoral Music (33/1), Emilyogue (40/1)

Verdict

Impossible to steer away from last week's unpenalised C&D scorer SKYWARDS REWARD. Micky Hammond has his string in decent order at present, and young Hugo Thompson Brown deservedly maintains the ride. Of the others, Suggestion isn't fully exposed and could be capable of further improvement, but he needs to return to action in tip-top shape in order to stake a claim, whilst conversely Instingtive is perhaps just beginning to feel the impact of a busy spell of racing.
