Only career win came over this trip in heavy ground at Ayr two years ago. Looked ill at ease in two starts over fences early last season but not completely ruled out of it in a weak race if he's had a change of heart.
Failed to complete first three starts this term and was tailed off last time out. Won hurdle here over this trip in the past and scored over fences at Kelso last season. Hard to enthuse over though in current form.
Has run well all four starts this term, including winning a mares' novice chase at Wetherby in heavy ground on penultimate start. Never got into it when staying on into fourth at Ayr last time but has every chance here in a weaker race.
Landed 3m chase at Bangor in November 2016 but ran a poor race at that track last time out. Had previously shaped well when runner-up at Ayr last month so a better display is not ruled out and may not be far away.
Modest veteran mare but has been performing creditably this term and finally got off the mark when scoring at Hexham last month. Not beaten far latest outing and may figure if in the mood to raise a head of steam.
29-race maiden who has been very frustrating over the years. Seems best at 2m4f so even at this very modest level may find the trip counting against him despite having a low weight.
Forecasts
Purple Harry (9/4), Nelly La Rue (3/1), Moorstown (5/1), Massini's Lady (11/2), Under The Red Sky (8/1), Bertalus (9/1)
This is a very low grade contest but something has to win it and it may well prove to be MASSINI'S LADY. Unlike her most of her rivals she has run well this term and can lad her second victory of the season. Moorstown is capable of making a race of it, as too is Nellie La Rue, while even Bertalus cannot be completely dismissed despite top weight if he's in the mood.
