Appeared to find the heavy ground at Ayr last time too much to handle but had previously finished a fair third here over 2m. This intermediate trip should help and has first time cheekpieces to concentrate his mind.
15 runs since his last win and has come tumbling down the ratings as a result. Little sign of a revival latest when struggling and fell three out at Ayr so has something to prove at present.
Not beaten far at Hexham last time and remains feasibly weighted on his best form. Has failed to perform though on both previous visits here so others are preferred on this occasion.
Dropped 14lb in less than a month having been set stiff tasks in early handicap races, but still hasn't looked a likely winner. Better display not ruled out but needs to get his act together.
Only career win came here over hurdles and has run creditably over fences on his last two starts. First time blinkers may help eke out further improvement so has to be given some consideration.
Races from 2lb out of the handicap. Hasn't won over fences since November 2015 but popped up over hurdles in January indicating he still retains some ability, but ran a shocker over timber when tailed off last time.

Forecasts
Orioninverness (2/1), Frankie Ballou (9/4), Mcginty's Dream (3/1), Sharney Sike (7/2), Bingo D'Olivate (6/1), What A Dream (8/1), Scorpo (14/1), Notonebuttwo (16/1)
There are question marks about most of the runners here but FRANKIE BALLOU is ain great form, winning again at his belived Sedgefield on Friday. In the hope the assessor hasn't yet caught up with himand under his penalty, he is the choice. Top weight Sharney Sike has claims despite his advancing years, Orioninverness can't be completely dismissed despite failing to shine at this venue in the past. Mcginty's Dream and Notonebutwo are others to consider.
- Frankie Ballou
- Sharney Sike
- Mcginty's Dream
