Group 1 winning sprinter in 2014, who has been around the yards since. Returned to action this season in decent enough shape, but didn't quite build upon a pleasing reappearance effort over C&D at Navan just last week.

Found winning difficult since scoring readily at The Curragh in July 2017 (6f good to firm), but has run some solid races in defeat, including when beaten by just ½L by Gobi Desert at Navan in October (6f Listed, soft).

Raced only on Polytrack thus far, and has shown little since returning from well over two years off the track (ex John Gosden). Appears to be out of his depth on turf debut.

Both career successes have come over 7f (Limerick and Naas), but he was progressing quickly in competitive handicaps last back-end. Current mark high enough, but handles cut and with previous course experience in the bank has definite claims.

Took ten races to break his duck, but he's won again since then at Tipperary in August 2017 (5f soft). Held little chance in a better race at The Curragh latest and the handicapper seems to have a solid grasp of his level of ability.

A winner on her seasonal reappearance last year at Cork in May 2017 (5f good), but couldn't repeat the trick in seven subsequent starts. Slight stamina doubts over 6f in deep ground, and that's enough to oppose.

Forecasts

Band of Outlaws (2/1), G Force (4/1), Comhghairdeas (4/1), Golden Spell (4/1), Patuano (11/2), Amanaat (25/1)

Verdict

A compact field of just six runners, yet still not the easiest handicap to solve. G Force is the ageing former class act, but the pair to concentrate upon are possibly Golden Spell and BAND OF OUTLAWS. The selection is most probably high enough in the weights, but he did end the season as a progressive 7f specialist. Whilst this 6f trip is on the sharp side, testing conditions at a track he handles very well are helpful and that's the reason he just holds sway over the Johnny Murtagh trained filly.
  1. Band of Outlaws
  2. Golden Spell
  3. Patuano
