Solid and fairly consistent hurdler who deserves a change of luck. Beaten favourite last time out when second of eight at Clonmel last month and another bold show looks likely here.
In rear for most of the way on debut in a Thurles maiden hurdle last month over 2m before making late progress when the penny looked to drop. Market likely to reveal expectations.
Related to winners Askamore Darsi, Sir Mangan and Pylonthepressure but inconsistent point-to-point form makes it hard to construct much of a case for her here.
Looked to be getting the hang of things in a couple of bumpers when last seen in August/September last year. May need the run on return to the track.
Nothing of any note in two bumpers towards the end of last year and first-time tongue-tie unlikely to bring about any improvement on stable debut.
By Westerner out of a Presenting mare related to the likes of Cole Harden, Gilgamboa and Grand National fancy Total Recall. Market likely to give best indication of chances.
Failed to get off the mark when not unbacked in three bumpers last spring before disappointing powerful connections in a trio of drab maiden hurdle starts. Worth a market check.
Lost place and weakened before four out in sole maiden hurdle start in October in a Wexford contest over 2m4f. Vast improvement on that run needed here.
Not much to shout about in two maiden hurdle starts last month beaten a total of 82L. Unlikely to play a part in the finish.
Failed to finish two point-to-point starts in 2016 and was well beaten on hurdling debut on return to the track in March. Looks opposable.
Possibly found the step up to 3m a step too far last time out in a Thurles maiden hurdle in February. Drop in trip sure to suit and worth a market check.
Kept on well without matching the winner on return to the track last month when second of eight in a Cork maiden hurdle beaten a head. Sure to come on for that run and a big player here.
Has failed to beaten a rival home in his first tow maiden hurdle starts last month and unlikely to perform any better here.
Modest in three point-to-point starts and finished well behind on two maiden hurdle starts in February. Plenty to find in this contest.
Slight improvement last time out but never sent off at less than 100/1 in a three maiden hurdle starts.
Very modest in a number of point-to-point starts and plenty of work to do on rules debut in this company.
Has disappointed connections in a number of dismal efforts this season and requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here.
Gelding by Ask out of a Shantou mare related to recent winners Asking Questions and Uttoxeter 2m4f victor Just Don't Ask. Well beaten on debut here last month and best watched on second start.
Forecasts
Last Minute Man (8/15), Itsonlyrocknroll (7/2), Allardyce (9/2), Coeur De Beauchene (33/1), Cesar Du Gouet (33/1), Elusive Exclusive (33/1), Amram (50/1), Simon's Castle (50/1), Casadel Sol (50/1), Cheers Jd (50/1), You're Asking Alot (50/1), Western Sea (66/1), Harry O (66/1), Baby Tubs (66/1), Flowery (66/1), Shantou Sisu (100/1), Takemeback (100/1), Roccorovermann (100/1)
The Willie Mullins-trained Itsonlyrocknroll should be the one to take the field along in the initial stages of the race with Allardyce, Cesar Du Gouet and Harry O chasing in behind. The early pace on the ground could set the race up for LAST MINUTE MAN who is likely to improve on his head defeat last time out in a Cork maiden hurdle and land the spoils for powerful trainer/jockey combination. Itsonlyrocknroll and Allardyce should be the best of the rest.
- Last Minute Man
- Allardyce
- Itsonlyrocknroll
