Consistent gelding who always runs his race. Both wins over further than this but looks well-treated and holds claims if dealing with this shorter trip.

Not beaten far at Kempton last time when shaping as if this step back up in trip should suit. Top AW jockey keeps the ride but he is creeping up the handicap.

Lost his chance in the early stages at Chelmsford last time when being hampered right at the start, but still ran well all things considered and has the form to go well here back up to a trip he does stay.

Held the last twice but probably done no help by trouble in-running late in the day over C&D last time. Could do better with a clearer round this time.

C&D form figures of 21 and not disgraced over further than this the last twice. Should be able to deal with this mark and looks a danger to all from an appealing draw.

Return to this trip is a welcome change after he looked a little outpaced over shorter last time out. Well-treated on his best form but has something to prove up against some younger rivals here.

Dual-C&D winner but is on a long enough losing streak at this stage that she's probably best watched, despite the fact she is well treated on her best form.

All her best form is over further, not to mention the fact she has completely lost her way since returning from a break in January 2017. Back from another absence now for a new trainer and best watched.

Put in her weakest performance in some time at this course last time when finishing down the field after some more promising recent efforts. Remains a maiden after 36 runs and holds place claims at best once again.

Only slight improvement on his poor maiden form since switching to handicap company, and needs a first-time visor to have a majorly positive effect.

Forecasts

Lord Murphy (4/1), Sir Lancelott (4/1), Harbour Patrol (5/1), Dalness Express (7/1), Black Truffle (9/1), Ad Vitam (9/1), Jessie Allan (10/1), Binky Blue (11/1), Tasaaboq (12/1), Simmo's Partytrick (18/1), Hangman Jury (25/1), Les Gar Gan (125/1)

Verdict

With a good record, albeit with limited attempts, over C&D so far, SIR LANCELOTT should go very well here. He has won here once and been runner-up once and this step back in trip is a positive. He won for this apprentice jockey when riding without his claim a few starts ago, so though he's higher in the weights now he should be capable of putting in a similar performance over the same C&D. Black Truffle holds excuses for his performance at Chelmsford last time and could be next best, ahead of Dalness Express.
  1. Sir Lancelott
  2. Black Truffle
  3. Dalness Express
