Not seen much in recent times but looked about ready to score again after his Market Rasen effort last time, and tongue tie added today no bad thing as he'll finish his race better. Good jockey booking and he should go well.
Has absolutely hosed up in two point-to-points recently, beating the useful Lilbitluso in the process. Handicapper looks to have had an absolute guess on his mark and it looks very low. Could be thrown in here and a major player.

Have to go back to 2015 to find the last time he won one, which tells you plenty. No issue with trip or conditions but hard to predict his going days and may be playing for places at best.

Should like the conditions and this step up in trip after two efforts in novice hurdles (form hard to evaluate), cheekpieces added today but yard still quiet on the winner front and it may be best to look elsewhere.

Very well handicapped on the best of his form but it's been all downhill this season, throwing the towel in pretty quickly at Towcester last time. Can't be touched in his current frame of mind.

Gives the impression she's not always in love with the game, and her distant third at Market Rasen last time out was hard work. Handicapper cutting her little slack either and it's not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Went very close off 2lb lower (in heavy ground) at Bangor in January but two lesser efforts since, with seemingly little excuse for either. Might appreciate return to this trip though and could bounce back under top jockey.

Not really going anywhere in four starts over hurdles to date but lightly raced and yard was on fire before the recent spell of bad weather. May leave previous form behind here and is not to be dismissed lightly.

Has won a point-to-point in heavy ground, so should handle conditions, and has at least got a recent win to show for his efforts, that coming in a three-runner affair at Fontwell last time. Likely there's more to come, and ought to be thereabouts.

Looks very well handicapped on the best of his form now, questions to answer regarding the trip but worth a try at it and he wasn't done with when falling at Ayr last time. Market the best guide as to chance, and is interesting.

Tries hard and deserves a win for his efforts but he may find this trip stretching his stamina somewhat, particularly in this deep ground. Should give it his best shot again but may come up just short of what's needed.

Falling quickly in the handicap after three moderate efforts this season, tailed off again last time and needs to turn things around sharpish if he's to have any chance here.

Forecasts

Arden Denis (9/2), Late Romantic (5/1), Aniknam (7/1), Loch Linnhe (7/1), Fizzlestix (8/1), Scartare (9/1), Kayf Moss (10/1), Frankly Speaking (10/1), Allthegear No Idea (12/1), I'm Always Trying (20/1), Fille Des Champs (20/1), Silver Dragon (40/1)

Verdict

A few of these could be well in on their current marks, none more so than LATE ROMANTIC who, if his point-to-point form is taken literally, looks very well treated here. He won't mind the ground and looks the one to be with. Frankly Speaking is another that could easily leave this mark behind in time, and the yard have been in sizzling form recently. Aniknam too looks well handicapped and a market move would need to be heeded for a yard that know how to land a gamble here. Arden Denis may do better back at this trip.
  1. Late Romantic
  2. Frankly Speaking
  3. Aniknam
