Hard to make a strong case for him having looked pretty laboured when last seen at Plumpton in December. Needs the break to have freshened him up.

Fairly consistent when last seen but that was nearly two years ago. Questions to answer now on the back of a long absense and trip may be on the sharp side.

Not the most reliable and seemed to struggle with the step up in trip when pulled up at Lingfield (2m7½f, heavy) last time. Back over a shorter trip today and tongue tie goes on.

Another one coming here on the back of a long lay off. Did run in a point around this time last year. Yard that have had a terrific winter need to spark some life to be involved.

Been running off higher marks over hurdles of late. This represents a drop in class having run in a class 4 event last time and a return to fences could spark an improved effort. Should go well.

Difficult to fancy on what we have seen this winter. 6lbs out of the weights here.

Forecasts

Burgess Dream (1/1), Very Live (9/2), Wish In A Well (7/1), Red Penny (8/1), Flashman (8/1), Try Catch Me (10/1)

Verdict

Very Live is dangerous on a going day and whilst you couldn't discount Flashman, he would need to step up on what he was showing when last seen. The safest option is BURGESS DREAM. Having been running in a higher grade over hurdles recently, the return to the larger obstacles could see him back in the winners enclosure.
  1. Burgess Dream
  2. Very Live
  3. Flashman
